Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 14 August 2026 1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how “Armenian Treasures” Historical and Cultural Foundation (the “Foundation”) uses cookies and similar technologies on its website (the “Website”). This Policy should be read together with the Foundation’s Privacy Policy. For the purposes of this Policy, “User” means an individual who accesses the Website or interacts with the Foundation’s online services. 2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on or reads from the User’s device. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits and device or browser identifiers. They may be used to operate the Website securely and properly, remember the User’s choices, enable a payment flow, measure Website performance or display third-party content. 3. Categories of Technologies We Use
* Strictly necessary technologies. These are required for Website security, network communications, storage of cookie choices, session continuity, fraud prevention or a payment function requested by the User. Where permitted by applicable law, they are used without consent, but information about them is provided to the User. * Functional technologies. These remember language, accessibility, display or media preferences selected by the User. Where consent is legally required, they are not activated before consent is obtained. * Analytics technologies. These help the Foundation understand overall visits, Website performance and interaction with content. Where consent is required, they remain disabled until the User has consented. * Third-party and embedded-content technologies. These may be used by maps, videos, virtual tours, social-platform features or donation payment interfaces. They may be governed by the relevant third party’s terms and policies. 4. Current Status of the Website
As of the Effective Date of this Policy, the Foundation does not intentionally use behavioural-advertising, cross-site-tracking or profiling cookies on the Website’s public informational pages. Non-essential analytics technologies must not be activated before the User’s relevant consent is obtained where consent is required by applicable law. The Foundation periodically reviews the Website’s technical configuration. Before any new non-essential technology or service is enabled, this Policy, the actual technology inventory and the cookie-preference tool must be updated accordingly. 5. Strictly Necessary and Preference Technologies
The technologies listed below may be used when the relevant Website functions are used. The specific technology name and retention period must be shown in the Website’s cookie settings if the technology is actually enabled. * Consent-preference record Provider: Foundation. Type: first party, strictly necessary. Purpose: to store the User’s cookie choices. Retention: up to 12 months. * Security and session technologies Provider: the Foundation, hosting provider or payment service provider. Type: first or third party, strictly necessary. Purpose: to support security, session continuity and a payment flow requested by the User. Retention: for the session or the minimum period necessary. * Language, accessibility or display preference Provider: Foundation. Type: first party, functional. Purpose: to remember a preference selected by the User. Retention: up to 12 months, if the technology is enabled. 6. Consent and the User’s Choices
Except where permitted by applicable law, the Foundation obtains the User’s freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent before storing non-essential information on, or accessing non-essential information from, the User’s device. Non-essential cookies are not activated on the basis of silence, pre-selected choices, inactivity or merely continuing to use the Website. “Accept” and “Reject” choices must be presented in an equally accessible manner, and separate categories may be managed through the cookie settings. The User may change or withdraw consent at any time through the Website’s “Cookie Settings” control. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. 7. Payment Services and Embedded Content
When the User opens or uses a donation payment flow, the relevant payment service provider may use technologies that are strictly necessary for transaction authentication, security, session continuity and fraud prevention. Those technologies may also be governed by the provider’s own cookie and privacy notices. Maps, videos, virtual tours, social-platform features and other embedded materials may allow third parties to store information on, or access information from, the User’s device. Where consent is required, such non-essential content must not load until the User has consented or has taken a clear action to activate the content. 8. Retention Periods
Session cookies are generally deleted after the browser is closed. Persistent cookies or similar records are retained only for a period proportionate to their purpose and are then deleted or renewed. A consent-preference record may be retained for up to 12 months to remember the User’s choice and demonstrate the Foundation’s compliance. A shorter or longer period may be used only where reasonably necessary, disclosed in the cookie settings and permitted by applicable law. 9. Browser Controls
The User may delete or block cookies and other local records through the browser settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary cookies, may impair certain Website functions, the storage of cookie choices or the operation of a payment flow. To manage choices separately by purpose, the User should also use the Website’s cookie settings, because browser controls may apply broadly and may not communicate the User’s updated choice to the Foundation. 10. Personal Data and International Processing
An identifier, IP address or device information obtained through a cookie or similar technology may constitute personal data where it can directly, or together with other information, identify or single out the User. Processing of such data is governed by the Foundation’s Privacy Policy. Hosting, security, payment or embedded-content service providers may process data outside the Republic of Armenia or the User’s jurisdiction. Information about applicable safeguards and the User’s rights is provided in the Privacy Policy and the relevant provider’s notice. 11. Changes to This Policy
The Foundation may update this Policy if the technologies, service providers or applicable legal requirements change. The revised version will be published on the Website with a new effective date. If a change affects the scope of consent previously given, the User will be asked to provide fresh consent where necessary. 12. Contact
