Documents behind public history
Founded in 2001, the Karen Demirchyan Museum presents the life and work of the Armenian statesman through his personal archive, handwritten working diaries, awards and belongings.
Office furnishings and documentary material connect an individual biography with Armenia’s political, industrial and cultural life in the second half of the twentieth century. The diaries are especially revealing: they invite visitors to look beyond ceremonial portraits and consider the everyday work recorded on the page.
