The person behind the stories
The museum preserves Hovhannes Tumanyan’s literary and material heritage: manuscripts, books, personal objects and works of art bring the poet’s world into view. His carefully chosen belongings reveal a reader and collector as well as a storyteller.
During renovation of the museum at 40 Moskovyan Street, the official visitor notice directs guests to the Hrant Matevosyan Cultural Center-Museum at 51/1 Abovyan Street. There, displays devoted to Tumanyan as a reader and to Vernatun introduce his domestic and intellectual circle. The virtual tour preserves a separately recorded view of the museum.
