Fire and Water
The sibling bond between opposing elements
Fire and water are siblings: fire is the sister, and water is the brother. Once, they argued over which of them was stronger and decided to test their might. To demonstrate her power, fire began to burn all the dry grass upon the mountains. But brother water came and instantly extinguished the blaze. From that day on, the brother and sister parted ways.
Once, as brother water was flowing down from the mountain, sister fire said to him:
“Come, sit a while and warm yourself.”
Water replied:
“And you, take a sip of me and cool yourself.”
