Aramazd
Creator of heaven and earth and father of the gods
Aramazd was the supreme deity of the ancient Armenians — creator of heaven and earth and father of all the gods. He was venerated under the epithet “The Great and Valiant Aramazd,” and his principal sanctuary stood at Ani Kamakh, one of the foremost sacred centres of ancient Armenia. It was there that the dynastic tombs and treasuries of the Armenian Arsacid kings were kept.
